Battery Conditioning and Charging Safety

1. Initial Battery State & Your First Charge Due to international aviation and maritime safety regulations, lithium batteries cannot be shipped fully charged (they are typically restricted to below 60% capacity before leaving the factory). Combined with transit and warehouse storage times, your N39plus may arrive with a battery level below 20%, or even completely depleted.
Official Recommendation: To fully activate the battery's internal chemical properties, ensure maximum operating time, and protect its long-term health, we strongly recommend charging your device to 100% before powering it on for the first time.
2. USB-C Fast Charging & Temperature Warning When charging the battery using the side USB-C port, you will notice that the two metal contacts on the back of the battery become hot. Please rest assured that this is an intentional industrial design for fast charging and efficient heat dissipation.
These two metal contacts (which are also used for the optional desktop drop-in charger) act as a heatsink to quickly expel internal heat. This design prevents the battery from triggering its internal "overheat protection" mechanism, which would otherwise pause or significantly slow down the charging process.
Warning
CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE CONTACTS: During USB-C fast charging, the surface temperature of the back metal contacts can exceed 80°C (176°F) due to concentrated heat dissipation. Absolutely do not touch these metal contacts with your bare hands during or immediately after charging to avoid burns.
Keep Away from Children: Always place the radio on a safe, dry surface out of reach of children and pets while charging.
Pro Tip for Faster Charging: To minimize heat generation and achieve the fastest possible charging speed, we strongly recommend turning off the radio's power while it is charging.

Power Switch / Volume Control

Power Switch Operation:
1. To turn on the walkie-talkie, rotate the power switch knob clockwise.
2. To turn off the walkie-talkie, rotate the power switch knob counterclockwise.
